Crossroads Caring for Carers adapted PQASSO for use by their 123 member schemes throughout England and Wales.  Their adaptation is called Crossroads Caring for Carers Quality and Evaluation Tool (CROQUET). 

Crossroads offers the following key messages as a result of its experience of using CROQUET over a number of years:

• The use of a well recognised quality assurance system demonstrates accountability.

• CROQUET offers a flexible and staged approach to implementing quality and promotes continuous improvement through self-assessment and audit. It helps to identify what is going well and what needs to be done in order to improve.

• CROQUET can also be used as a development tool to aid monitoring and evaluation.
